Texas Trip!

This Christmas we traveled to Texas to spend Christmas with Nate's dad, step mom Judy, his sister Mardi and her two boys and his brother and his two boys. We were very excited to get away from the loads of snow we had in Iowa to some place a bit warmer. Well I guess the snow followed us! Texas hasn't had snow on Christmas for over 80+ years and sure enough it snowed on Christmas there this year! Oh well it melted the next day!

Marlee on her 1st plane ride. She did awesome! Except for the 1st flight when she was super exhausted and cried for 10 minutes which seemed like an hour for me! Thanks to Uncle Drew for helping me out!!

Marlee and Ethan waiting patiently at the airport for our flight out.

Hotel Fun! We stayed at a nice hotel with a swimming pool and fun center. The kids loved it!

Oh and what fun an elevator is to little kids! Marlee's goofy smile. Cousin Cole: THANK YOU so much for being such a big help!!

Marlee is for sure our perfect traveler. It didn't even phase her to be away from home!

Nolan, Chandler and Ethan heading to Grandma and Grandpas house Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought them!

Nolan and Ethan playing with the toys that were in there stockings.

Marlee was just excited to have a stocking!

Family Pic.

So Happy!

You can just see the excitement in his face!

Marlee's TOO!

With 5 boys it was a bit crazy I must say!

Santa Clause is coming...

Surprise, Surprise! Nolan was the first kid to run up to greet Santa.

Grandma had to help Marlee meet Santa. Just think next year her and her brother may be racing to meet him!

This picture makes me laugh. You can just see how in awe Nolan is of Santa!

Christmas Round One!

WOW! What a Christmas this year has been. So far we have had 4 Christmas's and still one more to go! Its like the never ending season. However it been great spending time with our families. Nolan was very into Christmas this year. He finally figured out his birthday was over and that Santa Clause was coming. Its so neat seeing how excited he gets when he sees Santa. We visited Santa 4 times at the Mall this year! Marlee had her 1st Christmas. We could have just gotten her a roll of wrapping paper and she would have been satisfied, but buying for girls is SO much fun!

Present, presents and more presents!

Marlee and her wrapping paper!

Nolan and Cousin Tyler testing out the Star Wars light sabers. I think they were trying to bake grandma's potato's.

Tyler sharing his new targeting shooting game with Nolan.

What a big day!

Happy Birthday Nolan

Happy Birthday Nolan. I have been hearing that phrase for about two weeks now. Ever since Nolan figured out his birthday was coming up he thought everyday was his birthday. Its about 5 days past and when he saw balloons today he started saying "Happy Birthday Nolan!". Oh dear!
I have a feeling its going to be hard to get him to understand its Christmas and NOT his birthday! Oh the joys of being three!

Nolan blowing out his cake. He has a heck of a time getting that 3rd candle blown out!

Eating yummy cupcakes with Cousins Ethan, Chandler and Tyler. Poor Marlee is so out numbered!

Marlee and Uncle Drew

Nolan opening up presents.

As excited as Nolan was to open presents I think he got a little overwhelmed. About 3 presents in he decided to take a "drawing" break. Its was hilarious, it was as if no one was there but him and his paper and pen!

Snow Fun

Nolan all bundled up!

He has been asking for days to go play in the snow. Thanks goodness Daddy had a few snow days to take him out. Mommy isn't a fan of the cold weather!

I belive it was about 10 degrees out that day and it doesn' t even phase him!

WOW! Look at the cool tunnel that daddy built!

Snow Days

Lots of snow and no where to go! Nolan decided he wanted to help mom make cookies. Don't ask how they turned out!

Happy Birthday Nolan! Nolan was excited to wake up and see his new train table. After 3 hours and two attempted suicides, dad finally had it put together!

Thanksgiving 09

Cousins Chandler, Cole, Nolan and Ethan watching a movie at grandma and grandpas! Must of been a good movie :)

WOW!

We think Nolan may have found his calling! He drew this tractor all by himself, pretty good for a 3 year old! ( if your wondering why he doesn't have pants on, we are potty training and its so much easier without bottoms on!) :)
