New Ride

Check out our new ride. Nolan is very proud of it. As soon as I put it together he was ready to go for a ride. However its 35 degrees out with 30 mile per hour winds, needless to say we have not taken a ride outside yet!

Nolan being shy for some reason!

He really didn't want his picture taken, but he thought it was funny I kept trying!

I guess he just needed someone to ride with him. Since his sister won't be here for two more weeks George will hold her place. Hopefully Nolan is okay with substituting his sister for George soon..12 days to be exact...not that I am counting :)

Spring Fever

With the temps getting in the 60's and 70's the last few weeks we've done all we can to be outside! As much as I love following Nolan around the yard these days I am just to exhausted after a while....thanks goodness for the new sandbox! This keeps Nolan entertained for quite sometime and lets me relax in the sun!

Keepin' Busy

Nolan being a little ham for the camera.

We are still amazed at how much Nolan loves to draw. Some of his drawings are starting to even look like actual drawings and not just circles. He has quite the imagination!

Playing with his trains. As you can see he has to have his farm animals in the tracks.

Well we have about 3 weeks til Nolan is no longer an only child....which means TWO sets of diapers to buy. And after Nolans introduction to the potty I have a feeling I am going to be buying two sets of diapers for a LONG time. He likes to sit on the potty(only with clothes on!). And everytime we ask him if he has to go potty we get the same answer... NO!

What a goof ball!

Farmer Nolan

Well we've lived on the farm for about 5 months now and boy it took Nolan no time to become a little farmer himself. Nolan's number one obsession is tractors. He is always on the lookout for Papa and his tractor.

Farmer Nolan! We decided he needed his own tractor.

It took him no time to figure out how to push the gas....steering is another issue!

We spend a lot of time going in circles! I am sure by summer he will be driving all over without our help.

More Nolan

We got Nolan some flash cards to work on his talking. He is doing very well he just seems to talk and say words when he wants to. Oh the joys of a two year old!

I must admit Nolan has actually enjoyed the flash cards and gets them out on his own.
Here he is begging me to work with him...MEEEESSE! (that is Nolan's version of please!)

I forgot to mention he has a very short attention span! Here he is wanting to play 50 card pick up instead of working on new words :)

After a long winter and Lola (our golden retriever) being old enough to get out of her kennel and run free on the farm we brought Sophie back in the house. This made one little boys day!
This makes me wonder if this is how good he is going to be with Marlee when she arrives! What a good big brother were going to have.
Sophie spends much of her time sleeping the days away so Nolan decided to give up trying to get her to play and just take a nap with her! We have a dog lover on our hands.

Its been a while!

I told myself I would be better about blogging. I see its been exactly a month since I have posted anything! oops. Hope to be better in the months to come!

A few weeks ago we traveled to Texas to visit Nate's parents. I must say I was very nervous about taking a 12 hour road trip with a 2 year old and being 8 months pregnant. After my doctors okay we headed out.

Nolan keeping himself entertained and writing in his journal.

Much to my surprise Nolan did awesome on the trip. Between stopping every two hours, DVD after DVD of Thomas the Train, Curious George and drawing pictures he did perfect. Even much better than his mommy who was a bit uncomfortable at times :)

We found out on our trip that Nolan LOVES Mexican food. He barely ate anything but french fries on the trip until we went to a Mexican restaurant, he cleaned his plate! Not sure how much ended up on the floor or his shirt though :) As you can see he was a pretty happy boy that night.

Nolan not able to pose with daddy because he was to busy eating!

Mommy and Daddy in front of Ranger stadium. Nolan was napping in the car with Grandpa so he missed out on the stadium and the street with his name on it!
